With this function, you can distribute objects horizontally and vertically. Objects that are in an active vertical alignment cannot be distributed using this function. Similarly, the position of objects will not change if they are relatively anchored. The option to distribute spaces evenly is also selectable via the Floating Toolbox for graphic objects and the Objects Palette.
Vertical
Objects are distributed in the vertical direction (Y-axis). Selecting the left icon for "Equal Spacing" will distribute the space between the first and the lowest object. This can also result in negative distances, causing the objects to overlap. Alternatively, a margin can also be entered. The margin field becomes active when you select the right icon.
Horizontal
Objects are distributed in the horizontal direction (X-axis). Selecting the left icon for "Equal Spacing" will distribute the space between the leftmost and the rightmost object. The result can also be negative distances, causing the objects to overlap. Alternatively, a margin can also be entered. The margin field becomes active when you select the right icon.
Tip
The space is distributed among all selected objects. If you want to keep individual groups together, please group them before distributing. In this case, their distances will be preserved.
