With the mirror function, you can mirror images, graphic objects, and text frames horizontally or vertically to create interesting and creative effects. Regarding a text frame, it should be noted that the text is not mirrored letter by letter; instead, the alignment of the entire frame is adjusted.
How does it work?
- Select the desired object.
- Either the graphic floating toolbox will appear, or you should switch to the "Graphics" palette.
- There, select the icon for horizontal or vertical mirroring.
Can I mirror individual letters in a text?
No, unfortunately, that is not possible. Essentially, you are mirroring a text frame.
For header lines, there is a workaround: Take the text frame and convert it to a polygon using the "Text to Path" function. In this case, each letter is a separate polygon and can be manipulated.
Please note that this is not a viable solution for body text. On one hand, because subsequent correction of the text is no longer possible. On the other hand, performance is reduced by such actions.
