If you want to align the width or height of multiple objects, you can easily do this with this function.
- First, select the objects whose size you want to adjust. Make sure to mark all the desired elements that should have a uniform width or height.
- Next, select the object whose size will serve as the reference. This last selected object will then determine the exact dimensions that the other objects will align to. This approach ensures that all selected elements receive exactly the same width or height, creating a uniform appearance.
- Select the function for adjusting the width or height from the Floating Toolbox or the Graphics Palette.
What should be considered?
The function will not be executed under certain conditions. Limitations are listed below.
Horizontally
- The objects are protected in size.
- An object to be modified has an active variable width.
Vertically
- The objects are protected in size.
- An object has a minimum or maximum height that is being exceeded or not reached.
- The object has an active variable height.
Most of the limitations concern text frames.
