Yes, you can do that. The procedure is as follows:
- Upload an image via upload or the gallery to the background (context menu -> background -> upload image/gallery)
- Call up the context menu for the display (no selection of graphic objects or text in the display)
- Select the "Color" dialog from the background.
- Change the alpha value in the dialog and please assign the value.
