Object Palette for Graphic Objects
In the palette for graphic objects, a whole range of actions relevant to objects can be performed, such as aligning and distributing. Additionally, the graphic elements can also be positioned by entering values.
If the palette is active, the floating toolbox for graphics will not be displayed when selecting objects. The palette itself will be hidden as soon as the properties dialog is displayed.
Media Access
Upload: With the icon, images in the selected graphic object can be replaced.
Gallery: The right icon calls up the "Gallery" function. If a specific gallery has been assigned, the icons will be displayed directly. Otherwise, you can switch the gallery pool and choose the desired image or logo.
Align
In this section, you can quickly align objects. The following options are available:
- Horizontal
- Left
- Center
- Right
- Vertical
- Top
- Center
- Bottom
The last selected object is the reference point for alignment. Relative alignment is only possible through the alignment dialog.
Distribute
If you have selected more than two objects, you can evenly distribute the spaces between them both horizontally and vertically. If you want a predefined distance, use the distribute dialog, which can be accessed via the context menu.
Order
With the help of these icons, you can change the order of the objects. The following options are available to you (from left to right):
- Bring to front
- Move one level forward
- Move one level backward
- Send to back
You will find more advanced functionality in the layers panel, where you have the option not only to change the order of the elements but also to name them and protect them from editing.
Mirror
Images and other graphic objects can be mirrored with this function. The content of text frames is not affected by this.
Rotate
Graphic objects can be rotated in 90-degree increments. Independently, you can rotate in finer increments directly on the object using the rotate property or through the properties dialog.
Adjust Size
If you want to match the width or height of objects, you can do so using this function. First, select the objects that need to be adjusted, before finally selecting the object that will define the size.
Color
Using the pencil icon, you can change the color of the border of the selected objects, and using the bucket symbol, you can change the fill color. In both cases, the Stylo Color Dialog will open.
For lines, instead of the fill color icon, an icon for line styling (line thickness and type) will be displayed.
Lines and Corners
Calls up the lines and corners dialog. The following dialog may have different variations depending on which object has been selected.
Values
The values of multiple objects can be changed simultaneously. If multiple graphic elements with different values are selected at the same time, the field will be left empty. The values will be assigned upon leaving or entering Return.
X: Horizontal position of an object.
Y: Vertical position of an object.
B: Width of the object
H: Height of the object
R: Rotation angle of the object
Object Palette for Images
The palette for images and image frames differs from the standard graphic palette due to its upper part.
This consists of:
Slider
Through this, the size of the image frame, the image, or the mask can be determined.
Control Elements
With the icons to the right of the slider, you can control which element should be selected for editing. From left to right: image frame (including image and mask), image, mask.
