Character Formatting

If text is highlighted in Stylo, a floating toolbox appears, allowing basic formatting to be applied. The window positions itself at the cursor once the text selection is completed. With the exception of alignment, this is character formatting that can be found in this box.

The floating toolbox for text selection is not displayed when the "Character" palette is open.

The following functions are available (from top to bottom):

Paragraph Alignment
left-aligned, centered, right-aligned, justified (starting line left)

Character Formatting
bold, italic, superscript, subscript, underline, outline

Font Size
Option to specify the font size for the selected text area.

Font Family
You can select the font family to be assigned to the text. Filtering is possible.

If you have entered a filter to find a font family more easily, you can remove the filter with the delete icon (see red frame).

Font Style
Here you can select the desired font style.

Color
The color dialog opens, from which you can select your desired color.

Copy and Paste Format

With this function, you can copy a character formatting and paste it at a desired location. Paragraph properties such as alignment and spacing are not considered. Copying and pasting occurs independently of the normal clipboard. A formatting can be assigned multiple times using the Insert Character Formatting Button.

	With this icon, you can copy the format. Highlight the desired text from which you want to copy the formatting, or simply place the cursor at the location and then press the button. You will be notified of the success via a notification.
	Highlight the desired text to which the formatting should be assigned and press the Insert Character Formatting Button. This can also be done multiple times. However, it is not sufficient to simply place the cursor at the desired location in the text.

Paragraph Formatting

If the cursor is placed in a text in Stylo, a floating toolbox for the paragraph is called up. With this, the paragraph alignment can be determined, and the paragraph format can be copied and pasted elsewhere.

Paragraph Alignment
left-aligned, centered, right-aligned, justified (starting line left)
Additional paragraph alignments are available through the Paragraph Format Dialog.
