Through this dialog, (almost) all aspects of the display frame can be designed. The prerequisite is that no objects have been selected.
Preview
At the bottom left of the dialog, there is the icon for the preview. When activated, you see the left icon; when deactivated, the eye is crossed out. By default, the preview functionality is turned off.
Values are only assigned when you
- press the "Assign" button or
- switch to another section within the properties.
Back to the original values
This is a "mini-undo" – with this button, you can return to the values that were last assigned to the paragraph. This is helpful if you have tried different things and want to revert to the original value without having to close the dialog.
Close
The properties dialog will be closed. Changes that have not yet been assigned will be lost. No confirmation will be requested.
Assign
The changes made will be assigned.
Selection
By clicking in the middle of the selection element, all elements are activated or deactivated. If different sides and corners have been selected, clicking in the middle of the selection element will deselect everything.
Sides: By selecting the lines at the outer edge, you can select the border line of an object.
Corners: The individual corners can be selected via the indicated corner elements.
Central selection: In the middle of the selection element, there is the control element with which all elements can be selected or deselected. If at least one element has been selected, this control element will first perform a deselection.
Default Settings
Line thickness: Specify the desired line thickness here. Decimal places can also be entered here.
Frame style: Select the desired frame style. A frame style can be chosen from the selection. The predefined styles are fixed and cannot be expanded. In principle, however, the frame can also be designed with decorative elements using other elements than lines.
The dashed and dotted line styles cannot be applied to elements with convex or concave elements.
Corner radius: You can set the corner radius for the corners. The corner radius is always the same for all corners.
Corner type: A corner type can be selected from the selection. The following corner types are available:
- rectangular
- convex
- concave
- slanted
- inside right-angled
The representation in Stylo suggests for the display frame that the cut-out part of the corner shines through in white. In the output, the part of the display that lies outside is displayed transparently.
The corner types can be chosen differently for the corners. To do this, select the corners to be changed in the selection tool and then choose the corner type.
Color …
The color dialog will open, and you can determine the color of the frame (including the corners). Different coloring of various sides or corners is not provided.
Decor Settings
Decor settings are only available for display frames. You do not have access to the settings for other graphic objects. They are accessed via the down arrow.
If decorative elements have been assigned to a display frame, this is indicated by a double arrow.
This will then open the settings for decorative design:
Frame/Corners
Through these tabs, it can be set whether the settings are to be made for the frame or the corners.
Reset
If you have made specific settings for the display frame (text, image, gallery), these will be removed by pressing the reset button. Uploaded images will be removed when saving the document if not used.
