Functions

List:

The list displays paragraph formats of this document in alphabetical order.

Paragraph formats can be selected and edited with a click, for example, changed or deleted.

A double-click assigns the selected text or text frame.

Filter:

The filter can restrict the display of paragraph formats.

Buttons (l.t.r.):

Button	Function
	Create a new paragraph format for the catalog – a separate dialog opens for the setup
	The selected paragraph format can be edited – an editing dialog opens for this.
	The selected paragraph format is duplicated and opened for editing.
	The selected paragraph format is deleted. No confirmation is requested.

Administration of Paragraph Format Catalog Entry

At this point, you can administer paragraph formats. The functionality of the other tabs is described here.

The following options are available to you:

Format Name:
Set the name of the paragraph format. Once assigned, it cannot be changed. However, you can quickly duplicate a paragraph format and then adjust the format name.

Based on:
This allows you to set a reference to another paragraph. All values are taken from the referenced paragraph except for the values that are changed in this paragraph format. The changes are logged in the "Format Settings".

Next Format:
Defines which paragraph format should be called once this paragraph is ended with a return.

Log of the changes of this paragraph concerning the base paragraph format.
