Drop shadows can be created for both graphic objects and text. For text, the way to the shadow goes through the shadow properties of the text frame. The following describes how to use the function.
Drop shadow for graphic objects
- Select the desired object.
- Open the "Shadow" dialog from the context menu (right mouse button).
- Specify an offset for x and y.
- Determine the blur.
- If desired, you can also increase the extent of the drop shadow.
- The color of the shadow can be determined via the color dialog.
- Don't forget to assign it.
Drop shadow for text
- Select the desired text frame containing the text that should have a shadow.
- Open the "Shadow" dialog from the context menu (right mouse button).
- Activate the checkbox "Shadow also for the text".
- Specify an offset for x and y.
- Determine the blur and possibly also the extent.
- If a color is desired, you can switch to the color dialog via the color button and select the color.
