In the palette, you can make settings for characters. The call is made through the settings menu, which you can find in the toolbar under this icon:
If you call the paragraph format, this palette will be hidden and will only become visible again when you close the paragraph format dialog. When you open the character design palette, the Floating Toolbox for text design will be hidden.
Left Icon Bar
The following functions are available: superscript, subscript, underline, outline
Right Icon Bar
The following functions are available: normal text, lowercase, uppercase.
Font
Font Family: The fonts that are allowed in the display are shown – depending on the font pool that is selected. You can filter for the desired fonts in the field.
Font Style: Here you can select the styles that belong to a font family.

| You can reduce the scaling of the font. Allowed values are between 60% and 100%. | |
| In the field, you can enter positive and negative values to track or kern the selected text. |
Color
The current font color is displayed in the bottom field. After clicking the button, a dialog will open where you can make the color settings.
Copy and Paste Format
With this function, you can copy character design and paste it to a desired location. Paragraph properties such as alignment and spacing are not considered. The copying and pasting occurs independently of the normal clipboard. A design can be assigned multiple times via the Insert Character Design Button.
