In Stylo, the text is written in text boxes. These are provided to you via templates, or you can create your own text frame.
If the text box is not selected yet, you can click inside it and start entering text. If the box is still selected as a graphic object, meaning it is in the move and resize mode for graphic elements, you can enter the edit mode by double-clicking on the text box.
Within the text box, you have the following marking options:
Action | Effect |
---|---|
Click | The cursor is placed in the text. |
Double click | The clicked word is highlighted. |
Triple click | The entire paragraph is highlighted. |
If the double and triple click is not "finished," but instead dragged before releasing the mouse, you can highlight word by word or paragraph by paragraph. Additional keyboard commands that help with text highlighting can be found here.
Manual line break
By pressing Shift + Return, a manual line break ("soft return") can be created, i.e., a line break within a paragraph. If you want to force a line to block, you use the key combination Ctrl + Return.
In the administration of Stylo, the call logic can be reversed.
Copying and pasting
With the key combination Ctrl + c (copy) and Ctrl + v (paste), any display elements can be copied and pasted. The offset from the original object is 6 points.
Note on pasting text: When pasting text with Ctrl + v, the unformatted text is inserted.
It is not possible to copy graphic display elements from one Stylo instance to another.
Formatting text
The following tools are available for text formatting:
Connected Text Frames
Text frames can be connected to each other. This connection can occur automatically or manually through the split function. Within a text frame, there is a text flow, and for connected text frames, this describes the linkage. The text flows are defined by the "Text Flow Properties" dialog. You can find more information here.
